Container Corporation of India Limited, a Navratna CPSE and a key player in India’s multi-modal logistics landscape, has announced a leadership move in its senior-management cadre. Swayambhu Arya has been appointed as Group General Manager (P&S) through absorption, with the effective date noted as 29 July 2026. The move underscores CONCOR’s intent to strengthen its planning and services functions as it expands its logistics footprint across rail-and-road corridors.
Arya is an Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers officer with 27 years of experience in the logistics and transport sector. He has held roles across operations, maintenance, projects and production within Railways and CONCOR, and has also contributed as a faculty member at the National Academy of Indian Railways, focusing on capacity-building at the managerial level. His absorption is reported to be retrospective to the date of the Railway Board order, with the formal approval conveyed on 30 July 2026.
The appointment signals a continued integration of railways experience into CONCOR’s leadership as the company seeks to harmonize its multi-modal offerings under a cohesive strategic framework. By bringing in a veteran with deep exposure to both railway operations and logistics administration, CONCOR aims to enhance its ability to synchronize planning, resources, and execution across its network.
This leadership shift reflects broader dynamics in India’s logistics sector, where seasoned professionals are increasingly moving between public-sector transport corridors and flagship logistics platforms to drive efficiency, scale, and service quality.
