In a governance move that underscores its intent to broaden strategic perspectives, Sangam (India) Limited has appointed Ranjan Jagetia as an Additional Non-Executive Independent Director, effective 28 July 2026. The appointment, which requires shareholder approval, was approved by the board through a circular resolution following a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. The move expands the company’s non-executive director footprint as it continues to reinforce independent oversight at the top of the organization.
Concurrent with the appointment, the board undertook a reconstitution of key committees to address an upcoming vacancy and strengthen oversight. The Audit Committee and the Stakeholders Relationship Committee have been reconstituted with Dinesh Chander Patwari as Chairman (Non-Executive Independent Director), Ranjan Jagetia as a Member (Non-Executive Independent Director), and Ram Pal Soni as a Member (Chairman & Executive Director). The changes reflect Sangam’s ongoing governance evolution as it navigates leadership transitions and seeks to preserve robust independent input.
The board also announced a change in the chairmanship of the Risk Management Committee, effective 28 July 2026. The committee’s composition now features Vinod Kumar Sodani as Chairman (Executive Director); Anurag Soni as a Member (Managing Director & Executive Director); Upendra Prasad Singh as a Member (Non-Executive Independent Director); Irina Garg as a Member (Non-Executive Independent Director); and Pranal Modani as a Member (Chief Executive Officer). This refreshed leadership package aims to strengthen risk oversight across the group’s activities.
Ranjan Jagetia brings an international business background to Sangam. He serves as President of Taj Imports Inc., a Cleveland, Ohio-based apparel sourcing and distribution company, and is linked with several other ventures. He holds an MBA from Louisiana Tech University (1988) and a Master of Accountancy from Case Western Reserve University (1991). The board noted that he is not related to any Sangam director, is not holding Sangam shares, and is not debarred from directorship by any SEBI order or similar authority, reinforcing the independent status of his appointment.
