Britannia Industries Limited is reshaping its leadership ladder from within, announcing the elevation of two senior internal leaders to vice president roles. In a move approved at the board level following the Nomination and Remuneration Committee’s recommendation, Piyush Bhandari will step up from General Manager – Commercial Business & Sales to Vice President – Commercial, effective 1 August 2026. Simultaneously, Abhishek Gaurav is elevated from General Manager – Replenishment to Vice President – Replenishment, also with effect from 1 August 2026. The announcements underscore Britannia’s emphasis on continuity and internal development as it doubles down on strengthening its core commercial and supply chain functions.
Piyush Bhandari has spent more than two decades with Britannia, joining the company in 2006 as a Management Trainee and moving through key roles across Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and Replenishment before taking charge of Commercial Business & Sales. A Chartered Accountant by qualification, his deep-rooted experience in Britannia’s commercial finance landscape positions him to steer the company’s go-to-market strategy at the VP level. Abhishek Gaurav, meanwhile, has been with Britannia since 2008 and brings about 18 years of supply chain know-how. An IIT Kharagpur mechanical engineering alumnus with an MBA in Supply Chain Management from IIM Mumbai, he has led the Replenishment function and held roles spanning Regional Planning, Customer Service & Logistics, and Demand Planning.
The moves reflect Britannia’s intent to nurture leadership from within its ranks, reinforcing the commercial and replenishment pillars that drive both top-line growth and operational efficiency. By elevating two long-serving executives, the company signals a steady hand at the helm of critical functions as it navigates an evolving consumer marketplace and supply chain landscape.
