Power Grid assigns Interim Director (Finance) charge to Director (Personnel) Yatindra Dwivedi

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has announced a leadership realignment, entrusting Yatindra Dwivedi, currently Director (Personnel), with the additional charge of Director (Finance) for a period of three months from July 1, 2026, or until a regular incumbent is posted, whichever is earlier. The arrangement follows a government order dated June 27, 2026, and is intended to ensure seamless oversight of the finance function during the interim period.

Dwivedi’s expanded remit places him at the helm of both people management and financial leadership at a time when the company is navigating capital-intensive projects and ongoing budgetary planning. This kind of cross-functional delegation is not uncommon in large infrastructure firms, where continuity in leadership across core functions can be critical to maintaining momentum on strategic initiatives while a formal appointment process is completed.

The move underscores Power Grid’s emphasis on stable executive leadership within its governance framework, providing a bridge for the finance function while a regular incumbent for the post is identified. As the company continues to execute its transmission and power infrastructure agenda, Dwivedi will be responsible for guiding financial strategy and oversight alongside his duties in Personnel.
