Power Grid appoints Venkata Subrahamanayam Vallurie as CFO to steer finances from July 2026

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has named Venkata Subrahamanayam Vallurie as its Chief Financial Officer, effective July 1, 2026. The board-approved move signals a disciplined internal succession that aims to sustain the company’s financial discipline and execution roadmap as it advances its capital programs and project deployment.

Vallurie is a qualified Cost Accountant with more than 35 years of post-qualification experience. He has spent over three decades with Power Grid across regional headquarters and the corporate centre, building deep expertise in resource mobilisation, financial approvals, ERP implementations, financial accounting and internal audit. Notably, he has led the digitisation of finance operations, driving SAP deployments across the Power Grid group. His most recent assignment has been as Head of Finance for Southern Region-I, following prior roles in the Finance Department of Northern Region-I and as Head of Finance in the Telecom Department.

The appointment reinforces Power Grid’s emphasis on stable, experienced leadership at the finance helm. Vallurie’s broad exposure to finance operations, governance, and technology-enabled finance aligns with the group’s objective of prudent capital planning, robust financial controls, and enhanced stakeholder reporting. As CFO, he will steer the company’s financial strategy and oversight as Power Grid continues to scale its transmission assets and capital programmes.
