In a move that underscores internal succession planning, HDFC Asset Management Company Limited disclosed that V. Suresh Babu, Head – Operations and a long-serving senior management personnel, has tendered his resignation to pursue personal interests. His departure, effective September 30, 2026, follows a 26-year association with the company. Babu also serves as a Non-Executive Director on the board of the company’s wholly owned subsidiary in Gandhinagar, HDFC AMC International (IFSC) Limited, highlighting his broad footprint across the group.
The Board, acting on the Nomination and Remuneration Committee’s recommendations, approved an internal reallocation of responsibilities. Sameer Seksaria will be redesignated as Head – Operations, taking on Operations and Information Technology in addition to his current duties. Naozad Sirwalla, the Chief Financial Officer, will assume Administration responsibilities alongside his existing role. Both executives will continue as Senior Management Personnel in the company’s leadership cadre.
Suresh Babu stepped into his long-running role at the company’s inception and has overseen Operations, Information Technology, and Administration, in addition to serving on the board of the Gandhinagar-based subsidiary. The company places on record its appreciation for his valuable contributions over the years and wishes him well in his future endeavors.
Sameer Seksaria has been with HDFC AMC since December 2021 as Head – Corporate Client Services; prior to joining, he served as Director & Head – India Operations & Services at Franklin Templeton AMC. He brings more than 28 years of experience spanning asset management, insurance, and engineering, with leadership roles focused on operations, client servicing, and transformation. Naozad Sirwalla has been with the company since December 2021 as Chief Financial Officer; before joining, he was CFO at Lupa Systems Investment Advisors Private Limited, and brings over 30 years of experience across consulting, banking, NBFCs, and investment advisory, having held senior leadership positions including CFO and COO at multiple leading organizations. He is a Chartered Accountant (AIR 29) and a qualified Company Secretary.
