Zydus Wellness Limited has named Apurva S. Diwanji as a Non-Executive Independent Director for a five-year term, effective May 18, 2026, through May 17, 2031. The appointment, which is not subject to retirement by rotation, was approved by shareholders at the company’s 32nd Annual General Meeting on August 4, 2026.
Diwanji brings a long track record in corporate governance and cross-border transactions. He holds a Master of Arts in Law from Downing College, Cambridge University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. With more than three decades at Desai & Diwanji, he has specialized in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and joint ventures, handling complex cross-border deals and advising on governance, competition laws, foreign direct investment and regulatory matters across various sectors. He currently serves as an Independent Director on Torrent Power Limited, Bajaj Life Insurance Limited, Bajaj General Insurance Limited and TUV India Private Limited, and has prior board experience as an independent director at Zydus Lifesciences Limited until May 12, 2026.
