In a move aimed at fortifying its leadership bench, BGR Energy Systems Limited’s board approved the appointment of Ram Naresh Singh Tomar as an Additional Director in the capacity of Whole-Time Director for a five-year term commencing 26 October 2026, subject to shareholders’ approval within three months. Tomar is described as a professional with core expertise in procurement and contracts and project management, signaling a push to strengthen the company’s execution capabilities at the board level.
Separately, the board named Harish Gupta as President – Finance and Strategy, a Senior Management Personnel role, effective 26 October 2026, on a full-time basis. Gupta is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant with over 30 years of experience spanning energy, steel and manufacturing sectors, suggesting a deliberate emphasis on financial discipline and strategic oversight of the business.
The meeting also approved an increase in the company’s authorised share capital from ₹200 crore to ₹400 crore, along with a consequential alteration in the Memorandum of Association, subject to shareholder approval. This capital reshaping aligns with broader growth ambitions and the need for greater financial headroom as the company scales.
Taken together, these leadership moves reflect BGR Energy’s intent to sharpen financial governance and strategic execution as it positions itself for further expansion in a competitive energy landscape.
