Bank of Baroda appoints Nema Rakesh as Chief Technology Officer at BCC

Bank of Baroda has named Nema Rakesh as its Chief Technology Officer (CGM) at the Baroda Corporate Centre (BCC) in Mumbai, with the appointment effective 05 August 2026. The move brings a fresh layer of technology leadership to the bank’s central tech hub as it continues its digital transformation agenda.

Nema Rakesh holds a Master’s degree in Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Applications, and brings more than 25 years of experience with Bank of Baroda. His deep familiarity with the bank’s systems and its technology strategy positions him to steer critical technology initiatives from the BCC, a nerve center for the bank’s IT and digital infrastructure.

This appointment underscores Bank of Baroda’s emphasis on strengthening its technology governance and accelerating modernization across core platforms, cyber security, data analytics, and digital channels. As CTO, Rakesh will be responsible for shaping and delivering technology strategy, governance, and execution that underpin the bank’s growth and customer-centric digital offerings.
