Amir Chand Jagdish Kumar (Exports) Limited re-appoints two independent directors for second five-year terms

In a move aimed at reinforcing governance continuity, Amir Chand Jagdish Kumar (Exports) Limited said on July 8, 2026 that its board unanimously approved the re-appointment of two independent directors for a second five-year term, subject to shareholder approval. The appointments cover Gauri Shankar for a five-year term effective from July 9, 2026 to July 8, 2031, and Rajni for a five-year term effective from August 27, 2026 to August 26, 2031.

Gauri Shankar is described as a veteran banker with 39 years in the financial sector. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Delhi, and he cleared Part I of the Associate Examination of the Indian Institute of Bankers. He previously served as chief executive and managing director on the board of Punjab National Bank and held board-level roles in PNB International Limited, PNB Gilts Limited, PNB Housing Finance Limited, and JSC SB PNB Kazakhstan, among others, after a long career including a general manager stint at Bank of India.

Rajni is a Company Secretary by training with about 12 years of experience in secretarial compliance, including time with listed companies. She has worked with V.V Kale & Company on company law and RBI matters and has held secretarial roles across several listed and private entities, including PAN India Corporation, Radiant Innovative Manufacturing Limited, and others. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Delhi and is a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. Both individuals have confirmed independence and are not debarred from directorships.

The re-appointment underscores the company’s emphasis on independent oversight as it charts its next phase of growth, with the board backing the moves in advance of the shareholder vote.
