Can Fin Homes Limited has announced a leadership refresh at its 39th Annual General Meeting, underscoring a blend of board continuity and executive leadership. The shareholders approved the re-appointment of Murali Ramaswami as an Independent Director for a second three-year term, effective from the conclusion of the AGM on July 29, 2026, through July 28, 2029. The appointment was recommended by the Nomination, Remuneration & HR Committee and the Board in April 2026, reinforcing governance with a banker-turned-director profile that brings decades of financial industry experience to the board.
In addition, Varsha Vasant Purandare was approved as an Independent Director for a three-year term from July 30, 2026 to July 29, 2029. Her extensive background in credit, risk, and capital markets, including leadership roles at SBI Caps and SBI, adds to the company’s governance depth and strategic oversight.
The meeting also approved Shailesh Kumar Singh as Whole-Time Director and Deputy Managing Director, effective from July 3, 2026, for a three-year term ending July 2, 2029, subject to RBI approval. Singh, who previously served as a Deputy General Manager at Canara Bank, brings broad operational and treasury experience to Can Fin Homes. The trio of appointments signals Can Fin Homes’ intent to leverage seasoned banking and financial services expertise across its board and executive leadership.
