Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has announced a leadership move, promoting BRSLN Murty to Executive Director (Civil), Nagpur, with effect from 29 July 2026. The appointment underscores RVNL’s continued emphasis on strengthening its civil infrastructure leadership as the company advances its nationwide railway projects.
Murty brings a long and diverse track record spanning 38 years across the Indian Railways and RVNL, with deep experience in planning, design, execution and management of railway infrastructure initiatives. His stewardship in various roles is noted for technical acumen, innovative engineering solutions and a strong focus on project delivery.
An alumnus of NIT Warangal with a Master of Technology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Finance), Murty began his career in the Indian Railways, progressed through Group B and later earned Group A through the UPSC Combined Engineering Services Examination (2002), securing All India Rank-1 in Civil Engineering. Throughout his career, he has contributed to projects across SECR, ECoR, SCR and CR, building a reputation for robust execution and governance in complex rail programs. Prior to this appointment, he was serving as Chief Project Manager, RVNL, Nagpur, signaling the company’s confidence in promoting from within to lead high-impact civil projects.
