Wipro Limited moved to lock in leadership continuity at the board level, announcing the re-appointment of Tulsi Naidu as an Independent Director for a second five-year term, effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2031, subject to the shareholders’ approval. The decision was taken by the board after extensive deliberation, underscoring Wipro’s intent to retain seasoned governance experience as the company accelerates its digital and global growth agenda.
Ms. Naidu, who joined Wipro’s board in July 2021, currently serves as a member of the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee and chairs the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Her role on the board places her at the intersection of risk oversight and people strategy, areas that are increasingly central to technology-led companies navigating rapid change.
With 29 years of leadership experience in financial services across Europe and Asia, Naidu brings a breadth of expertise in strategy, credit, insurance, information technology and cybersecurity, complemented by a track record of operating at the highest levels of the industry. Her current position as Chief Executive Officer, Asia-Pacific, at Zurich Insurance Group Ltd, along with prior leadership roles across Zurich and Prudential Plc, positions her to contribute a global perspective to Wipro’s governance and growth ambitions.
The appointment is a continuation of Wipro’s focus on board stability and breadth of experience. As the company charts its next phase of expansion, Naidu’s international vantage point and governance acumen are expected to reinforce the board’s oversight of strategy, risk, and technology-led transformation, pending shareholder approval at the forthcoming vote.
