Union Bank of India has announced a leadership reshuffle, elevating three General Managers to the post of Chief General Manager with effect from 1 April 2026. The move underscores the lender’s commitment to strengthening its senior leadership from within, aiming to sharpen execution across its strategic priorities and ensure continuity in stewardship as the bank navigates a dynamic operating environment.
K Pramod Kumar Reddy, currently on deputation (APGB), is a postgraduate in Agriculture and CAIIB certified, bringing over 28 years of experience to the new role. Sumit Srivastava, heading Ecosystem Banking at Corporate Office, holds an MBA and CAIIB, with more than two decades of service in the bank. Dhirendra Jain, from Finance and Accounts at Corporate Office, is a Chartered Accountant (ICAI) and CAIIB, supported by 16 years with Union Bank of India. Their elevation to Chief General Manager reflects a broad-based strengthening of the bank’s leadership across core functions.
As Union Bank of India positions itself for sustained growth and digital-forward transformation, the three executives are expected to play pivotal roles in steering the bank’s strategic agenda, championing customer-centric initiatives, and reinforcing the institution’s deep-domain capability across agriculture, ecosystem banking, and finance operations. The appointments signal a deliberate emphasis on experienced, internally developed leadership to drive execution and long-term value for stakeholders.
