Transport Corporation of India Limited (TCI) has named Bhudev Bhushan Giri as CEO-Designate for the TCI Seaways Division, a move approved by the board on October 27, 2026. The appointment, backed by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, signals a deliberate succession plan and a push to strengthen leadership for the group’s growing Seaways footprint.

Giri is a long-standing TCI executive who began his career with the TCI Freight division in 2005 and has since taken on a series of leadership roles, working closely with global clients on end-to-end supply chains. He brings a track record of driving operational transformation, cost optimization, and performance improvements. He holds an MBA in Business Management and has completed leadership development programs, including the Senior Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School, equipping him to lead the Seaways segment through its next growth phase.

In the same board meeting, the company approved the issuance of secured, listed and redeemable non-convertible debentures (NCDs) aggregating up to ₹300 crore on a private placement basis, with terms to be finalized by the Executive Authorization Committee. This financing move aligns with the board’s broader growth agenda and underscores the company’s readiness to fund expansion across its diversified logistics platform. Separately, the board also disclosed a buyback program of up to 15,62,500 equity shares at ₹960 per share, indicating a blended approach to leadership renewal and shareholder value.
