Suzlon Energy Limited has announced a leadership transition in its senior management. Rajendra Mehta will resign from his post as Group Chief Human Resource Officer with effect from the close of business on 28 July 2026, and Anjali Byce has been appointed as his successor, effective 29 July 2026.
Anjali Byce brings roughly 27 years of experience across manufacturing, automotive, industrial, engineering, technology and financial services sectors. She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology from Delhi University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources from the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development, and has completed executive education at IMD. Her most recent role was Chief Human Resources Officer at Tata Motors, with prior leadership stints at Sterlite Technologies, SKF India, Thermax and Cummins. In these roles, she led functions including sales, strategic HR, industrial relations, organizational development, learning and development, corporate social responsibility, health, safety and environment, and administration, earning industry recognition such as CHRO of the Year and inclusion among Top 100 Most Talented Global HR Leaders.
The leadership change underscores Suzlon’s focus on human capital as it navigates its growth trajectory in the energy sector. Mehta’s exit creates a new chapter for the company’s HR leadership, with Byce positioned to drive talent strategy, leadership development and workforce transformation aligned to Suzlon’s ambitions. The company secretary’s communication to exchanges formalizes the transition, signaling continuity in people strategy as Suzlon advances its performance and organizational goals.
