Siemens Limited is reshuffling leadership in its Digital Industries (DI) business, signaling a focused push on digital transformation and execution across regions. Swapnil Deosthali will cease to be the Head of the Company’s Digital Industries Business, effective 16 August 2026, as he takes up a new role within Siemens. In the interim, Suprakash Chaudhuri will assume responsibility as Interim Head of the Company’s Digital Industries Business, effective 17 August 2026. At the same time, Sapna Rawat will cease to be the Finance Head of the Digital Industries Business, effective 16 August 2026, following her resignation, and Ashish Handa will take on the role of Interim Finance Head, effective 17 August 2026.
Chaudhuri brings a deep, regional perspective to the helm. He is currently Head of Digital Industries, Asia-Pacific, and a member of the Global Sales Leadership of Digital Industries. With more than three decades of cross-industry experience, he has helped businesses of all sizes accelerate digital resilience and transition toward digital enterprises. His prior roles span leadership positions at Siemens Digital Industries Software in India, and stints at Ernst & Young, SAP and Oracle. He has also co-chaired the FICCI Technology Committee, reflecting a strong industry footprint. Based in India, Chaudhuri holds an engineering degree and an IMT Ghaziabad MBA.
Ashish Handa steps in as Interim Finance Head and brings more than 25 years of finance leadership across India and Europe. He currently leads Finance for the Asia Pacific Zone of Siemens Digital Industries’ Automation business, overseeing India, ASEAN, South Korea, Japan and Australia. His career with Siemens includes global leadership in Controlling and Finance Assurance, with prior experience in Digital Industries’ audits and in digitalization and IT assurance. Handa is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered in-and-outstanding performer, with a Master’s-level business education from the Indian School of Business. He completed the Post-Graduate Program in Management at ISB and holds a B.Com (Hons) from the University of Delhi.
The internal moves reflect Siemens’ intent to maintain continuity while rotating leadership within the Digital Industries franchise, with Swapnil Deosthali transitioning to a new internal assignment. The company’s leadership cohort now centers on Chaudhuri’s interim stewardship of the DI business and Handa’s interim finance leadership, as Siemens chart a path of ongoing digital advancement across markets.
