Shiprocket Limited is reshuffling its governance bench, naming Anil Kumar as the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer (Key Managerial Personnel), with effect from November 6, 2026. The move comes as Nikhil Kumar steps down from the same role, with his resignation to take effect at the close of business hours on November 5, 2026, to take on additional responsibilities within the Shiprocket group. The transition marks a critical handover in the company’s secretarial and compliance framework as it continues to scale its corporate governance practices.
Anil Kumar arrives with a rich background in governance and corporate law. A Fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, he brings over 17 years of experience in corporate governance, legal matters and secretarial compliance, FEMA compliance and related areas. He joined Shiprocket as Associate Vice President on September 7, 2026. Previously, he served as Director, Group Company Secretary and Compliance Officer at AceVector Limited (formerly Snapdeal Limited); Company Secretary at Unicommerce eSolutions Limited (a subsidiary of AceVector); and Head – Legal, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer at Ethos Limited, among other senior roles. His appointment places a seasoned governance professional at the helm of Shiprocket’s Company Secretary and Compliance function at a time of accelerated growth.
Nikhil Kumar’s resignation letter, dated October 28, 2026, states that he is stepping down to take on additional responsibilities within the Shiprocket group. His departure is set to be effective from the close of business on November 5, 2026. The company has acknowledged the transition plan and emphasized the aim of a smooth handover to ensure uninterrupted governance and compliance oversight as Shiprocket advances with its growth and IPO-related commitments.
This leadership change underscores Shiprocket’s ongoing emphasis on robust governance practices as it navigates rapid expansion. By appointing a veteran company secretary and compliance professional, the company signals its intent to maintain tight oversight of statutory obligations, risk management and regulatory compliance as it continues to execute its strategic growth agenda.
