Shanthi Gears Limited has named Sukanta Kumar Panigrahi as Interim Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately, after Sudhir R expressed an inability to join the company due to personal reasons. The leadership pivot comes as the company seeks to ensure uninterrupted financial stewardship while it identifies a permanent CFO.
Panigrahi is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary with 18 years of experience spanning finance, treasury, fund raising, budgeting, cost reduction initiatives and business process improvement. He is currently associated with Tube Investments of India Limited (Holding Company) and has previously held roles at River Mobility Private Limited, Ford Motors Private Limited and BNY Mellon in various financial positions.
The appointment is intended to hold office until a regular CFO is identified and takes charge. In a related governance note, Shanthi Gears informed stakeholders about the authorization of key managerial personnel for materiality determinations and disclosures, including M Karunakaran as Whole-time Director & CEO and Walter Vasanth P J as Company Secretary.
