Pradip Bishnoi elevated to Non-Executive Chairman at McNally Bharat; Independent Director to lead board

In a move signaling governance continuity, McNally Bharat Engineering Company Limited has named Pradip Kumar Bishnoi as the Non-executive Chairman of the Board, with immediate effect from 24 August 2026. The appointment marks a formal shift in leadership as Bishnoi—who has been serving on the board as an Independent Director—steps into the chair role to shepherd the company’s governance agenda.

The board approved the change by circulation, and Bishnoi will hold the position of Non-executive Chairman up to 5 January 2030, or until otherwise determined by the board, whichever comes earlier. Importantly, the company notes that this transition does not alter his status as an Independent Director; his ongoing independence remains intact as part of the board’s oversight framework.

Bishnoi brings a career spanning four-plus decades across steel, natural gas, industrial packaging and lubricants. He has served as CMD of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited and as MD of Balmer Lawrie & Co. Limited, and has held regulatory and industry leadership roles, including on the Petroleum & Natural Gas Regulatory Board. A holder of a BE in Petroleum Engineering and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, his résumé also features executive education at Oxford and the World Bank’s programs. He currently serves on the boards of Rane (Madras) Limited, Rane Engine Valve Limited and Avadh Sugar & Energy Limited. He is not related to any other director or KMP of the company.
