Ola Electric Mobility Limited announced a leadership and governance reshuffle in a board meeting held on September 5, 2026. The company said Hyun Shik Park has resigned as Chief Operations Officer, designated as a Senior Management Personnel, with effect from the close of business on September 5, 2026, citing personal reasons. The development marks a notable executive departure as Ola Electric continues to push its growth agenda in the competitive electric mobility space.
In governance moves, the board approved the reappointment of Manoj Kumar Kohli as an Independent Director for a second five-year term from December 6, 2026 to December 5, 2031, and similarly reappointed Shradha Sharma as an Independent Director for the same period. Both appointments are subject to shareholders’ approval at the upcoming annual general meeting. Kohli brings a background that includes leadership roles at SoftBank Group International and Bharti Enterprises, while Sharma is the founder and CEO of YourStory and a member of the National Startup Advisory Council.
The board also approved increasing the companys authorised share capital and altering the memorandum of association accordingly, enabling the company to pursue fundraising of up to INR 1,500 crore through equity and various other securities. The announcement also confirms plans to convene Ola Electrics 9th Annual General Meeting on September 30, 2026, to be held via video conferencing or other audio-visual means. Taken together, the moves reflect Ola Electric s strategy to strengthen governance while preserving capital flexibility as it scales its operations and market footprint in the EV space.
