NR Agarwal Industries Limited has appointed Makarand P Barhanpurkar as Senior Managerial Personnel, designating him as Director – Operations & Project, with effect from October 12, 2026. The move signals the Mumbai-based manufacturer’s effort to deepen its operational leadership and sharpen execution across its manufacturing footprint.
Barhanpurkar is a seasoned mechanical engineer with over 36 years in the pulp, paperboard and specialty paper industries. Before joining NR Agarwal Industries, he served as Executive Vice President – Manufacturing and Projects at ITC Limited’s Paperboards and Specialty Papers Division. His career spans senior leadership roles at ITC Limited, Sinar Mas (APP Group), Rama Newsprints and Paper Limited, and Ballarpur Industries Limited.
His expertise spans manufacturing excellence, project implementation, Total Productive Maintenance, Six Sigma, Industry 4.0, advanced analytics, environmental sustainability and occupational safety. At ITC, he led major manufacturing and capacity-enhancement projects, drove operational efficiency and championed sustainability initiatives. The appointment is poised to bolster NR Agarwal’s push for operational excellence and accelerated project delivery.
