Nazara taps Raymond Albaladejo Stauffer as CEO; Con Anthony Conlon joins board; Mittersain to continue as MD

Nazara Technologies is signaling a fresh leadership chapter with the appointment of Raymond Albaladejo Stauffer as Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2026, or on any later date the Board decides once all regulatory clearances are in place. In the same wave, the company confirms that Nitish Mittersain will step down from the CEO role but will continue to serve as Managing Director, ensuring continuity at the helm while Nazara searches for the next phase of growth. Independent director Arun Vijaykumar Gupta is stepping down due to expanded professional commitments, and Con Anthony Conlon has been named as an Additional Independent Director to bolster governance and strategic oversight. The moves collectively signal Nazara’s push to blend product prowess with disciplined leadership as it accelerates its multi-portfolio strategy.

Stauffer brings a track record of scaling digital gaming platforms and a background that spans both tech giants and gaming startups. A former Google executive, he has built Bluetile Games (formerly Playvalve) and BestPlay Systems into a sizable portfolio with hundreds of millions of downloads and substantial EBITDA, while also co-founding Cliqpod, a puzzle and word-game platform. He is positioned to lead Nazara as it continues to integrate its digital ecosystem with offline entertainment ventures, including the Funky Monkeys Play Centers investment announced during the board deliberations. The appointment is framed as a strategic entry point to accelerate user acquisition, monetization, and global expansion across Nazara’s gaming, eSports and ad-tech segments.

Conlon, the founder and director of Merit Data & Technology, steps onto Nazara’s board as an Independent Director for a five-year term, adding a governance-forward perspective grounded in data, analytics, and technology strategy. His background—spanning AI-enabled solutions, portfolio strategy, and public company board experience—aligns with Nazara’s emphasis on product, growth, and portfolio optimization. Together with Mittersain’s continued leadership as Managing Director, Nazara is signaling a leadership model that seeks continuity at the executive layer while strengthening board-level guidance to navigate the company’s next growth arc.
