Mayur Uniquoters names Vinod Haritwal as Non-Executive Independent Director; Arun Bagaria to continue as Executive Director as Roongta exits

Mayur Uniquoters is reshaping its leadership with a blend of governance and executive continuity. After a board meeting on August 5, 2026, the company announced the appointment of Vinod Kumar Haritwal as a Non-Executive Independent Director, effective August 6, 2026, for a five-year term subject to shareholder approval. The same session noted that the tenure of independent director Ratan Kumar Roongta will conclude on September 27, 2026, after which he will cease to be a member of the board and its committees. On the governance front, the Board also advanced the plan to refresh leadership through internal succession and ongoing oversight of the company’s strategic agenda.

In the executive realm, the Board, on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, approved the re-appointment of Arun Bagaria as Whole Time Director designated as Executive Director for a further five years, with effect from August 1, 2027 (to July 31, 2032), subject to shareholder approval. Bagaria, a long-standing member of Mayur Uniquoters’ leadership, brings a background in commerce and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Strathclyde, alongside a role as a strategic management professional and key member of the board.

Vinod Kumar Haritwal’s profile, as disclosed, includes a commerce degree and an LLB, plus a Diploma in Gem Mining from Australia. He is described as having broad directorship experience across ventures with government bodies in Orissa (Odisha), Zambia, and Zimbabwe, and holds memberships in industry bodies such as CII, IGBC, IRMRI, AIRIA, FOMAR, and CREDAI. This blend of governance, industry networks, and international exposure positions him to contribute to MUL’s governance framework as it navigates its growth trajectory.

Separately, the company has also approved the notice for the 33rd Annual General Meeting for the year ended March 31, 2026, and fixed a record date for potential final dividend, underscoring continued emphasis on shareholder value alongside leadership transitions.
