Maan Aluminium Limited has named Karan Bhatia as a Non-Executive Independent Director, effective April 1, 2026. The board approved the appointment on March 31, 2026, following a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, for a first term of five consecutive years. The appointment is subject to the shareholders’ approval within three months. The company also confirms that Mr. Bhatia is not debarred from holding the office of director by SEBI, any order or any other authority.
Mr. Bhatia brings a multi-decade track record from the Indian film distribution sector. A Hansraj College alumnus (1975), he began his professional journey in 1976 in the family distribution business, building a reputation for strategic distribution, market understanding, and enduring industry relationships. He collaborated with prominent distributors such as Bobby Art International and HK Tandon for nearly three decades, and since 2019 has led independent distribution operations under JB Pictures. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the distribution of over 600 films across India, underscoring a robust operational and network pedigree.
Industry observers note that this governance-minded addition could infuse cross-sector perspectives into Maan Aluminium’s board — particularly in areas like strategy oversight, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. As a Non-Executive Independent Director, Mr. Bhatia will bring an external lens to board deliberations, complementing the company’s leadership team while remaining free from executive responsibilities. The appointment signals Maan Aluminium’s ongoing emphasis on strengthening governance and tapping diverse experience to guide its growth journey.
