In a move that underscores Life Insurance Corporation of India’s commitment to cooking in fresh leadership from within, LIC has elevated five senior managers to Senior Management Personnel positions, effective April 8, 2026. The appointments span the insurer’s zonal offices and its Central Office, signaling a firm push to deepen leadership across the organisation. The officials elevated are Ashok Kumar, Ashutosh Kumar, Ganesh Kinkar Jena, M. Ravikumar, and Narvir Singh Raghava.
Ashok Kumar steps up from Regional Manager (Marketing), Central Zone, Bhopal to become Additional Director, Zonal Training Centre, Gurugram. Ashutosh Kumar moves from Regional Manager (Marketing), North Central Zone, Kanpur to Zonal Manager, Eastern Zone, Kolkata. Ganesh Kinkar Jena, who previously served as General Manager at LIC Housing Finance Limited, Mumbai, is appointed Executive Director (New Business & Re-insurance/Health Insurance) at the Central Office, Mumbai. M. Ravikumar rises from Regional Manager (Marketing), South Central Zone, Hyderabad to Additional Director, Zonal Training Centre, Hyderabad. Narvir Singh Raghava shifts from Regional Manager (Marketing), Western Zone, Mumbai to Additional Zonal Manager, Northern Zone, New Delhi.
The five leaders come with long-tenured, multi-zone experience across administration and marketing, reflecting LIC’s intent to broaden the leadership bench with executives capable of steering core business lines across geographies. Ashok Kumar and Ashutosh Kumar, both joining LIC in 1992 as Administrative Officers, bring decades of exposure to marketing leadership across multiple zones. Ganesh Kinkar Jena joined the organisation in 1992 and has led in marketing and administrative roles before taking on the new executive responsibilities at the Central Office. M. Ravikumar, who began in 1990 as an Administrative Officer and holds a postgraduate engineering qualification, brings a long track record in LIC’s marketing leadership. Narvir Singh Raghava, also joining LIC in 1992, holds an MSc and MPhil in Physics and is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India, with extensive experience across administrative and sales functions.
These elevations illustrate LIC’s continued emphasis on a robust and locally grounded leadership pipeline, aimed at sustaining momentum across its vast network while reinforcing the efficiency and reach of its marketing and risk-bearing businesses.
