Kaveri Seed Company Limited has announced a leadership move at the highest financial level, naming Muppasani Bhanu Prakash as Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel, effective 28 October 2026. The appointment, approved by the Board and supported by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Audit Committee, signals a strategic focus on strengthening financial governance as the company pursues its growth trajectory. Bhanu Prakash will take charge of the company’s financial stewardship, bringing a wealth of experience to the role.
Bhanu Prakash is described as an accomplished finance professional with 26 years of broad-based experience, including more than two decades as a Chartered Accountant. His background spans multiple sectors—agriculture and seeds, cement, batteries, insurance, manufacturing and services—along with professional credentials as ACA, ACS and an M.Com degree. The executive’s expertise encompasses strategic financial planning, treasury and working capital management, regulatory compliance, risk management and governance, as well as hands-on involvement in ERP implementations, process improvements, MIS automation, Ind AS transitions and GST deployment.
Beyond the CFO appointment, Kaveri Seed’s board also approved a plan to establish wholly owned subsidiaries in eight countries to bolster its international footprint. The move is framed as a strategic step to accelerate product registrations, research and development for seeds and vegetable crops, and to facilitate marketing and distribution in overseas markets, subject to applicable regulatory clearances. As the company ushers in Bhanu Prakash to the helm of finance, observers will be watching how the leadership reshapes financial discipline and execution to support the company’s long-term growth ambitions.
