The Karnataka Bank Limited has announced a cadre reshuffle, elevating three senior management executives from Deputy General Manager to General Manager with effect from September 3, 2026. The internal promotions underscore the lender’s emphasis on a strong leadership bench as it pursues expansion across its nationwide network. The promoted executives are Basavaraj Desalli, Raghavendra C L, and Gopalakrishna Samaga B.
Basavaraj Desalli, a science graduate and Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, joined the bank as a Clerk in 1995 at the Gonibeedu Branch and has since held roles across the country, climbing the ladder to Deputy General Manager before this promotion.
Raghavendra C L, a science graduate and Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, has also completed IT and Cyber Security for Senior Management and other certifications; he began as a Clerk in 1999 at the Antharagatte Branch and progressed through the bank to reach Deputy General Manager before this elevation.
Gopalakrishna Samaga B., holder of a master’s degree in Commerce and a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, joined as Typist-Cum-Clerk on 01.07.1994 at Ahmedabad-Mid-Corporate Finance Branch and rose up to Deputy General Manager before being promoted to General Manager. The bank’s internal mobility signals continuity and depth in its leadership team.
