Independent Director Resigns, Kilitch Drugs India Ltd Faces Board Vacancy

Kilitch Drugs (India) Limited announced on 21 October 2026 that Venkita Subramanian Rajan has tendered his resignation from the role of Non-Executive Independent Director with immediate effect, citing pre-occupation and other personal commitments. Consequent to his resignation, Rajan will also cease to be chairman and/or member of the Audit Committee, Nomination and Remuneration Committee, and Stakeholder Relationship Committee of the company.

The company noted that the letter of resignation has been received and that Rajan has confirmed there are no other material reasons beyond those stated. In the accompanying communication, Managing Director Mukund Mehta expressed appreciation for Rajan’s tenure and contributions, and extended best wishes for the company’s continued success.

The resignation marks a governance moment for Kilitch, signaling the need to fill the independent director seat and potentially reshuffle committee oversight as the board maintains its commitment to independent governance standards.

As Kilitch looks ahead, the board and management will likely focus on identifying a suitable replacement to preserve strong independent oversight and ensure continuity across its key governance committees.
