Hyundai Motor India Elevates General Counsel as Senior Management Leader; Amitabh Lal Das Exits SMP

Hyundai Motor India Limited has announced changes in its senior-management lineup, naming Yogesh Wadhwa as Senior Management Personnel with effect from September 5, 2026. He will serve as General Counsel and Function Head – Legal & Corporate Governance, reinforcing the company’s leadership in the legal and governance domain.

Wadhwa brings 26 years of experience in handling legal, compliance, litigation, regulatory affairs and corporate governance. Within Hyundai Motor India Limited, he has led key initiatives such as IPO readiness, the Pune Plant acquisition, and enterprise-wide ethics and compliance frameworks. His career has spanned roles at General Motors, Renault Nissan, Halliburton, PwC, and Fox Mandal, across markets in India and the Middle East, where he is recognized for strengthening governance, managing legal risk, and aligning legal strategy with business goals.

In a separate development, Amitabh Lal Das, who held the position of Business Head – Chief Legal Office, will cease to be listed as part of the Senior Management Personnel effective September 30, 2026. The company did not designate a replacement in the filing, but the move marks another phase in Hyundai Motor India’s ongoing governance and organizational alignment as it expands its footprint in the Indian market.
