ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company Limited has appointed Chockalingam Narayanan as Senior Management Personnel, with effect from November 13, 2026, following a recommendation by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. The Board approved the appointment via circulation at 6:15 p.m., signaling a deliberate move to strengthen leadership within the Alternates division and its equity-focused investment framework.
Narayanan currently serves as Head – Equities Alternates, a role he has held since joining the AMC in July 2022. He leads portfolio management approaches under Portfolio Management Services and acts as fund manager for various alternative investment funds. With more than 21 years of experience in fund management, investment research, and market analysis, he is lauded for his macroeconomic insights and ESG-focused analysis that underpin investment strategies. His prior stints include Baroda BNP Paribas Asset Management India Pvt Ltd, Deutsche Equities India Private Limited, and Batlivala & Karani Securities.
Educationally, Narayanan holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from T.A. Pai Management Institute, Manipal, and a Bachelor of Commerce from GR Damodaran College of Science. He has also earned the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals. The appointment reflects ICICI Prudential AMC’s emphasis on deepening leadership strength in equity strategies within its Alternates framework, aligning senior expertise with an expanding slate of equity-focused strategies across PMS and alternative funds.
