Campus Activewear Limited has named Rakesh Thakur as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective 17 August 2026, signaling a strategic move to strengthen the company’s financial leadership as it scales. The appointment was approved by the board following recommendations from the Nomination & Remuneration Committee and the Audit Committee, underscoring Campus Activewear’s confidence in Thakur’s ability to steer the company’s financial agenda amid a growth phase.
Thakur, a 49-year-old Chartered Accountant, brings more than two decades of experience across consumer-focused and multinational environments. Before joining Campus Activewear, he served as the Group Chief Financial Officer of Imagine Marketing Limited (boAt), where he worked closely with the founders and leadership team to drive profitable growth, improve EBITDA, strengthen cash and working capital management, and advance governance in preparation for a public-market journey. His track record points to a finance leader who can align strategic priorities with disciplined execution.
Prior to his tenure at boAt, Thakur held senior finance roles at Hindustan Unilever Limited, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, Samsung India, and PepsiCo. His expertise spans P&L management, business finance, controllership, supply chain finance, governance, transformation, and M&A/integration. An alumnus of the University of Delhi with a commerce degree, he has been recognized for contributions such as the Unilever Global Recognition for the GSK-HUL Virtual Merger and the GSK Innovation Excellence Award. Campus Activewear now adds a veteran financial strategist to its executive fold as it pursues growth with governance and market readiness in view.
