Arihant Superstructures appoints Raghuveer Singh Rajpurohit as Independent Director

Arihant Superstructures Limited has tapped Raghuveer Singh Rajpurohit as an Independent Director, expanding its board with an additional Non-Executive Director for a five-year term starting July 21, 2026. The move, approved by the board via circular resolution, is slated to run until July 20, 2031 and will not require annual retirement by rotation. The arrangement remains subject to the approval of the company’s shareholders.

Rajpurohit brings a blend of academic and industry experience, with a reported 27 years in both spheres. The attachment outlines a career that includes roles as Principal at OKIMT Kota and SCMIRT Pune, and as Professor at IMS Noida. He has also served as Chairman of Sangam India Limited for merger proceedings involving SBP Limited, and was recognized as a National Arbiter of Chess by the All India Chess Federation in 1998. Notably, the appointment indicates no familial or other relationships with the company’s existing directors and he is not debarred from holding office by SEBI or similar authorities.

The governance-facing nature of this appointment aligns with Arihant’s ongoing efforts to strengthen board oversight with independent voices. As an Independent Director, Rajpurohit will help bolster independent scrutiny of strategy, risk, and controls, while his five-year term provides continuity without the routine rotation of directors. The onboarding is explicitly described as contingent on shareholder approval, underscoring a prudent approach to board composition as the company navigates its growth trajectory.
