Apollo Tyres Limited has elevated Rajeev Kumar Sinha to the role of Executive Director (Whole-time Director), for a five-year term commencing August 13, 2026, subject to shareholder approval via postal ballot. The move comes on the back of a board recommendation aimed at strengthening the company’s leadership in manufacturing and sustainability across its global footprint.
Sinha currently serves as Chief Manufacturing & Sustainability Officer, a position he has held since joining Apollo Tyres on April 2, 2025 as Chief Manufacturing Officer. In his ongoing remit, he leads the global manufacturing and sustainability agenda, including strategy and planning, plant management, integrated manufacturing services, and the deployment of advanced manufacturing systems and AI/ML solutions. His career spans more than 36 years across multiple geographies and industries, with prior senior roles at Cipla, Glenmark, and PepsiCo, and a mechanical engineering background from IIT Kanpur.
Analysts note that the appointment signals Apollo Tyres’ continued emphasis on operational excellence and sustainable growth. By elevating a leader with extensive cross-sector manufacturing and operations experience, the company positions itself to drive industrial modernization, performance optimization, and sustainability initiatives across its manufacturing network. The development also reflects the board’s ongoing governance-and-execution alignment as Apollo Tyres advances its global manufacturing strategy.
