Alicon Castalloy Limited has announced a leadership transition, with Sumit Bhatnagar stepping into the role of Chief Executive Officer after the close of business on March 31, 2026, succeeding Rajeev Sikand who superannuated from the position. The change formalizes a shift in the company’s top leadership as Bhatnagar takes charge as CEO, while Sikand exits after a long tenure at the helm.
Sumit Bhatnagar brings over 26 years of experience in the automotive sector, spanning business development, greenfield set-ups, operations, technology transfer, supply chain and manufacturing excellence. Before joining Alicon Castalloy Ltd., he served as Group President of ANAND Group since January 2017 and as Managing Director of ANEVOLVE since January 2022, in addition to holding senior roles such as Senior Vice President and COO at Gabriel India Limited. He holds a BE in Production Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College, Aurangabad, and a PGDBM in Finance and Strategy from Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode.
The appointment underscores a continuity-focused leadership approach as Alicon Castalloy aims to leverage Bhatnagar’s track record in manufacturing excellence and strategic operations. Rajeev Sikand’s departure at the end of March 2026 closes a chapter in which he steered the company as CEO, while the board embeds a new era of execution under Bhatnagar’s guidance. The transition aligns with Alicon’s ongoing focus on strengthening design-to-delivery capabilities and advancing its automotive components business.
