In a measured reshuffle of its senior ranks, Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited has named Bhim Singh as Senior Management Personnel, effective April 6, 2026. Singh will assume charge from Milan Sen as he transitions from the Science & Technology Department to the Blasting Department, marking another inwardly driven realignment as CMPDI refines its leadership cadre. Singh has been with CMPDI since 2009 and brings a strong geology background, holding a BSc in Geology from Kurukshetra University and an MSc from Banaras Hindu University, positioning him to steer field-centric initiatives in the geology vertical.
Simultaneously, Satish Neeraj Kumar has been appointed as SMP after taking on the role of HoD (Publication). Kumar, who is the Chief Manager (Geology) and HoD (Publication) at CMPDI, has been part of the organization for years and holds a Master of Science in Applied Geology from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. This move underscores CMPDI’s emphasis on continuity within its geology and publication functions, as Kumar steps into a senior management slot that aligns publication priorities with on-ground geoscience work.
The changes come alongside the superannuation of two long-serving senior managers, Dr. Kunal Das and Randip Singh, underscoring a planned transition within CMPDI’s leadership pipeline. Taken together, the announcements reflect a broader confidence in internal talent to navigate the company’s evolving project slate and the intricacies of mining planning, blasting operations, and knowledge dissemination.
As CMPDI continues to align its leadership with expanding technical demands, industry observers will watch how these internal appointments translate into sharper execution across its core domains of geology, blasting, and publication. The move signals a steady hand at the helm as the organization advances on its strategic priorities in mining design and planning.
