Vivek Shah appointed Head – Sales Development at Godrej Agrovet to accelerate GTM transformation

Godrej Agrovet Limited has named Vivek Shah as Head – Sales Development, with effect from April 10, 2026, following approval by the board on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. The appointment underscores the company’s intent to sharpen its go-to-market capabilities and accelerate commercial performance across its portfolio.

Shah arrives with close to two decades of experience in driving growth, leading business turnarounds and building scalable go-to-market ecosystems across FMCG markets in India and abroad. In his current role at Marico as Head – Sales Transformation (India & International), he has steered enterprise-wide initiatives across GTM, distribution and digital, turning a GT downturn into sustained growth, expanding rural distribution by about 40% through stockist additions, and leading multi-market transformation including Vietnam, while scaling e-commerce and embedding data-driven decision-making to boost productivity.

Prior to Marico, Shah spent more than 16 years at Britannia in senior leadership roles spanning sales, trade marketing and brand management. He has managed large turnover businesses (up to ₹2,000 crore), led 200+ member teams, and delivered market-share gains, distribution expansion and digitisation efforts, along with pan-India trade strategy. At Godrej Agrovet, he will focus on strengthening go-to-market capabilities and driving commercial excellence across its businesses.

The move signals Godrej Agrovet’s emphasis on sharpening its commercial edge through experienced leadership, as the company aims to accelerate growth by aligning sales execution with data-driven insights and a strengthened distribution network.
