Uno Minda Unveils Leadership Shake-Up as Three Executives Move into Key Roles, Sunroof Capacity Expansion Planned

Uno Minda Limited is shaking up its leadership bench while clearly signaling growth momentum. In a board meeting held on November 5, 2026, the company announced a trio of executive moves alongside a capital expansion plan for its Sunroof Division. The changes underscore a deliberate succession strategy and a push to sharpen the group’s growth and technology agenda as it eyeing rising demand across its automotive semiconductor and EV-related ventures.

First, Nitesh Minda will transition into the role of Chief Executive Officer – SCS Domain (CEO-Designate), effective November 5, 2026. He is slated to assume the CEO role in SCS Domain upon the retirement of A.G. Giridharan, and will work closely with Giridharan during the handover to ensure continuity of leadership and domain expertise. Minda has been with Uno Minda since 2008, most recently serving as President & Chief Marketing Officer, a background that positions him at the intersection of strategy, technology, and market execution.

In another move, Kartikeya Joshi has been elevated to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), charged with steering the group’s marketing function. Joshi has been with Uno Minda since 2018, most recently as President & Head of Strategy, bringing a blend of strategic depth and market-facing leadership to the top marketing slot. Separately, Amit Jain will transition to the newly created role of Group Chief Growth and Technology Officer (CGTO), expanding his remit beyond the current Group CTO and CEO – 4W Powertrain responsibilities to oversee technology, R&D strategy, 4W EV business, and the Corporate Manufacturing Excellence, Digital and Strategy functions.

Beyond leadership changes, the Board approved a Detailed Project Report for the Sunroof Division, approving an additional investment of approximately Rs. 85 crore to expand sunroof manufacturing capacity at Bawal, Haryana. The expansion aims to cater to incremental orders and the growing demand for advanced sunroof systems in the Indian passenger vehicle market, with commissioning expected by Q2 FY28. Together, these moves reflect Uno Minda’s strategy to strengthen core capabilities while accelerating growth in new mobility technologies.
