ARCIL appoints Satyendra Kumar Singh as Non-Executive Nominee Director, effective October 30, 2026, following RBI clearance and board approval. The appointment, approved by ARCIL’s Board on September 1, 2026 on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, is subject to the shareholders’ approval at the forthcoming general meeting or within three months from the date of appointment, whichever is earlier.
Satyendra Kumar Singh brings a deep banking and risk-management background to ARCIL. He is currently Chief Credit Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer at State Bank of India, where he sets policy directions in credit and ESG, and oversees credit approvals, processes, and policy across the bank. In previous roles, he led the Commercial Clients Group as Deputy Manager Director, managing relationships with over a thousand corporate clients. His career with SBI also includes stints as CGM for the Kolkata Circle and the Corporate Accounts Group, and he served as Chief Executive Officer of the SBI London office from 2019 to 2022, with additional experience in SBI Sydney overseeing Operations, Compliance & Risk.
As the SBI-nominated director on ARCIL’s board, Singh’s appointment is poised to bring a practitioner’s lens on credit risk and governance, aligning ARCIL’s strategic focus with calibrated risk-taking and sustainability considerations. The move underscores ARCIL’s intent to strengthen its board with a seasoned banker who can contribute to prudent credit governance and long-term value creation for stakeholders. While the appointment awaits shareholders’ approval, the industry will be watching how this cross-over from a major public-sector bank translates into ARCIL’s boardroom dynamics.
