Infosys is elevating Mitrankur Majumdar to lead the Services Utilities Resources and Energy (SURE) segment, naming him as Segment Head and Senior Management Personnel with immediate effect. The move signals a tightening of focus on Infosys’ flagship AI-enabled transformation agenda, as the company seeks to accelerate value creation across its global services portfolio.
Majumdar currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Global Head of SURE, where he has been responsible for steering the segment’s strategy across services, utilities, resources and energy. With more than three decades in the industry, he has built a track record of translating technology-led insights into enterprise-scale outcomes, leveraging AI, data, cloud and other emerging technologies to help clients accelerate transformation and sustainable growth. In his expanded role, Majumdar will continue to drive strategic partnerships and ecosystems that bolster Infosys’ enterprise AI capabilities and strengthen the firm’s Global Capability Center practice.
The leadership transition comes as Ashiss Kumar Dash, the current Segment Head for SURE, will devote more time to external training and transition activities as he takes on the CEO designate role.
