IRCON International Limited has announced a leadership refresh with the appointment of two Executive Directors to steer its Electrical and S&T divisions, effective 7 August 2026. Approved by the board on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, Vimal Kishor Nagar will take the helm as ED/Electrical, while P.V. Sreekanth will assume the role of ED/S&T. The appointments place both veterans within IRCON’s senior management trajectory as the company expands its project portfolio across railway electrification, traction systems, and technology-enabled railway infrastructure.
Vimal Kishor Nagar is described as a seasoned Electrical Engineer with more than 30 years in railway electrification and related infrastructure. His career began with Indian Railways before joining IRCON on deputation in 2021 and subsequently being absorbed in 2026. In his tenure at IRCON, Nagar has led marquee projects spanning Railways, Metro Railways, EHT substations, transmission lines, and solar power initiatives, while also handling corporate functions such as bidding, financial planning, HR, and risk management that align project execution with strategic objectives.
P.V. Sreekanth, an IRSSE officer from the 1988 batch, brings over 35 years of experience across Indian Railways and CPSEs. His work portfolio includes major rail Infra projects like the Calcutta Metro CATC, digital networks, and significant S&T deployments across USBRL, Katni-Singrauli Doubling, and other large-scale initiatives. Since permanently joining IRCON in 2021, he has driven S&T execution, including the USBRL tunnel communications network and the New Business push within Railway S&T vertical. He holds a BE in ECE, an M.Tech, an MBA, and has authored multiple technical works, underscoring a blend of engineering depth and strategic leadership.
Together, Nagar and Sreekanth bring a combined pedigree of hands-on project execution and high-level strategic stewardship to IRCON’s leadership bench, signaling the company’s intent to fortify its electrical and S&T capabilities as it advances its ambitious rail infrastructure agenda.
