Dabur India signals governance continuity with re-appointment of Mehrishi, tenure tweak for Butani, and re-appointment of Burman

Dabur India Limited is signaling governance continuity with a trio of leadership moves. At its 51st Annual General Meeting, shareholders approved the re-appointment of Rajiv Mehrishi as a Non-Executive Independent Director for a second five-year term running from September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2031. Mehrishi, a veteran administrator with a career spanning the IAS, the Union Finance Ministry, and the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, brings a long record of governance and policy oversight to Dabur’s board.

The board also approved a modification to the tenure of Mukesh Hari Butani, another Non-Executive Independent Director. His second-term tenure, which was approved earlier to run from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2030, has been shortened to a one-year term, January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026, in response to his other professional priorities. All other terms remain unchanged.

Saket Burman, who serves as Vice Chairman and is a fifth-generation member of the Dabur family, has been re-appointed as a Non-Executive Director, liable to retire by rotation at the 51st AGM. Burman’s profile reflects a blend of entrepreneurship, investment, and strategic advisory work across Dabur’s global network, with ongoing involvement on boards and initiatives such as the Zero Prize aimed at environmental impact.

Taken together, the changes underscore Dabur’s emphasis on stable, experienced governance as it charts growth in a competitive consumer goods landscape.
