Advance Agrolife Limited is sharpening its governance muscles as it pushes forward with a leadership refresh. In a board meeting held on August 6, 2026, the Jaipur-based agro-chemicals player approved the appointment of Brijmohan Sharma as an Additional Non-Executive Independent Director for a first five-year term, from August 6, 2026 to August 5, 2031, subject to shareholder approval. The move signals the company’s intent to deepen its governance framework with seasoned financial-services leadership at the helm of the board’s independent voice.
Sharma brings four decades of banking and financial services experience to the board, beginning his career in 1983 with the Oriental Bank of Commerce. His background spans finance, risk management and human resources, with notable leadership stints at Punjab National Bank. He holds a B.Com and an M.Com, and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). He has also been recognized by the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) for his work on the Atal Pension Yojana and currently serves as an Independent Director on the boards of TT Limited and Laxmi Financial Services India Limited since September 2024.
In a related move, the board approved the re-designation of Narendra Choudhary as Whole-Time Director of the company, effective August 6, 2026, for a five-year term, subject to shareholder approval. Choudhary has been associated with Advance Agrolife since November 2023 and, prior to this change, functioned as Director (Executive). His academic background includes a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Commerce from the University of Rajasthan, and he brings more than six years of experience in accounting and operations management, with responsibilities spanning manufacturing strategy, financial management, budgeting and cross-functional leadership.
Beyond governance changes, the meeting also covered the company’s unaudited standalone financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, and the related limited review report. While the results reflect the company’s seasonal business in the agro-chemicals space, the announcements reinforce Advance Agrolife’s focus on strengthening leadership oversight as it pursues its growth plan.
