Advance Agrolife Expands Board and Elevates Leadership with Independent Director Appointment and Whole-Time Director Redesignation

Advance Agrolife Limited used its August 6 board meeting to advance governance moves: it approved the appointment of Brij Mohan Sharma as an Additional Director, categorized as a Non-Executive Independent Director, for a first five-year term starting today, subject to shareholder approval. In the same session, the board redesignated Narendra Choudhary from Director (Executive) to Whole-Time Director for a five-year term, again pending shareholder consent. The changes come ahead of the company’s 24th Annual General Meeting slated for September 18, 2026, to be conducted via video conferencing and other audio-visual means.

Brij Mohan Sharma brings four decades in banking and financial services, having started his career in 1983 with the erstwhile Oriental Bank of Commerce. A holder of B. Com and M. Com degrees and a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB), he has been recognized by the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority for his contributions to Atal Pension Yojana implementation and promotion. His recent board roles include Independent Director positions on TT Limited and Laxmi Financial Services India Limited since September 2024.

Narendra Choudhary has been associated with Advance Agrolife since late 2023 and will now be redesignated from Director (Executive) to Whole-Time Director for a five-year term, subject to shareholder approval. He holds a Bachelor and Master of Commerce from the University of Rajasthan and has spent more than six years with the company, overseeing manufacturing strategy, financial management, budgeting and forecasting, and cross-functional team leadership to drive efficiency and compliance. The board notes that he does not have inter-se relationships with other directors and remains un-debarred from holding office by SEBI or other authorities.

Taken together, the moves signal Advance Agrolife’s intent to strengthen governance while deepening its operational leadership as it navigates the evolving agro-chemical sector and positions itself for the upcoming AGM and growth objectives.
