Dabur India names Bhalla as CEO – India Business amid senior management reshuffle

Dabur India Limited is reshaping its senior leadership in a move the company frames as an internal consolidation aimed at sharpening its focus on the India business. The board approved the appointment of Herjit S. Bhalla as Chief Executive Officer – India Business, with effect from April 23, 2026, reporting to the Global Chief Executive Officer. The leadership change places Bhalla at the helm of Dabur’s core market strategy, signaling a renewed emphasis on driving growth within the country.

In parallel, three members of the senior management team will report to Bhalla going forward and cease to be part of the Senior Management Personnel, effective July 29, 2026. Rehan Hasan, Executive Vice President – Sales; Sriram Padmanabhan, Director – Healthcare; and Abhishek Jugran, Director – HPC & Foods, will continue in their respective roles but under the new reporting line.

The moves reflect an ongoing internal restructuring designed to streamline leadership under a more consolidated executive team. By aligning these roles under Bhalla, Dabur appears to be charting a course that leverages stronger intra-division leadership to navigate India’s consumer markets, while preserving continuity in the company’s strategic functions. The change underscores the company’s preference for an integrated executive structure rather than a board-driven reshuffle, signaling a focused push on execution and market-specific growth.
