Ador Welding Limited moves forward with a leadership transition at the finance helm. In a board meeting held on 30 July 2026, the company announced that Surya Kant Sethia has resigned from the position of Chief Financial Officer to pursue opportunities outside the organization. He will be relieved from his duties at the close of business on 14 August 2026, following an 11-year tenure during which the board says he contributed significantly to the company. The board expressed its sincere appreciation for his contributions and the leadership he provided over the years.
Stepping into the CFO role with immediate effect from 15 August 2026, Krishnamurthy Suryanarayan will also take on the title of Head – Strategy and will continue as a Key Managerial Personnel. The transition is being framed as a move to ensure continuity in financial leadership while strengthening strategic oversight at a pivotal juncture for the company.
Krishnamurthy Suryanarayan is a Chartered Accountant with more than 25 years of experience spanning business accounting, financial planning, treasury and forex management, mergers & acquisitions, tax and compliance, and investor relations. His career includes leadership stints such as CFO for CEAT Ltd, where he headed finance and related functions, and roles at GCPL (where he led the Africa business finance function), as well as leadership contributions at ASTEC Lifesciences Ltd. Ador Welding thus brings in a finance leader with a track record of integrating finance with broader growth and operational priorities.
The board’s decision signals a deliberate emphasis on governance and continuity as Ador Welding advances its growth agenda. With a new CFO also carrying strategic responsibilities, the company appears to be aligning its financial stewardship with its longer-term strategy, while ensuring a smooth handover and sustained momentum for its leadership team.
