Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has extended the additional charge of the post of Director (Projects) for Burra Vamsi Rama Mohan, who serves as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the company. The extension covers a further period of three months w.e.f. 01 July, 2026, or until the date of assumption of charge by the regular incumbent, whichever is earliest, in pursuance of Ministry of Power Order No. 25-11/3/2026-PG(MoP)-Part(1) dated 23 July, 2026.
The arrangement preserves leadership continuity at the helm of the group’s capital-intensive projects portfolio, with the CMD continuing to oversee the Director (Projects) responsibilities on an interim basis. This move follows the company’s earlier communication on the matter and underscores the governance protocols in place to maintain momentum on Power Grid’s core project delivery agenda.
As Power Grid navigates a period of ongoing project execution and future-capacity planning, the extended interim charge signals stability in senior leadership at the executive level. Observers will be watching how this interim structure collaborates with the board and Ministry oversight to steer the company through its strategic priorities in the coming months.
