AKI India Limited reshuffles board as two independent directors join and three exit

AKI India Limited moved to refresh its board on 8 April 2026 as the board accepted the resignations of three Non-Executive Independent Directors — Sarika Agrawal, Abdul Rashid Khan and Veqarul Amin — citing personal reasons. In the same meeting, the company approved the appointment of two new Independent Directors, Hardika Ladha and Nandish Shaileshbhai Jani, both effective from 8 April 2026, signaling a governance refresh alongside the ongoing board oversight.

Hardika Ladha is described as an Associate Company Secretary of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, bringing governance, legal compliance and secretarial expertise to the board. Nandish Shaileshbhai Jani, with a Bachelor of Commerce and over 12 years of experience in accounts and tax, adds financial and fiduciary insight to the independent director slate. Both appointments are framed as additions to strengthen board oversight and compliance without accompanying executive roles.

The firm also announced the reconstitution of three key board committees as of 8 April 2026. The Audit Committee will be chaired by Hardika Ladha, with Nandish Shaileshbhai Jani as a member and Mohammad Ajwad (Managing Director) as a member. The Nomination and Remuneration Committee will see Ladha as chair, Jani as a member, and Mohammad Asjad as a member. The Stakeholder Relationship Committee will be led by Ladha as chair, with Jani as a member and Asjad as a member. These changes underscore AKI India Limited’s ongoing governance evolution and commitment to structured oversight.
