3M India Board Adds Chun Hao Lok as Non-Executive Director; Elizabeth Kong Resigns, Board Reconstituted

3M India Limited has reshaped its board, adding a new non-executive voice while bidding farewell to a long-standing director. In its November 6, 2026 board meeting, the company announced the appointment of Chun Hao Lok as an Additional Director, categorized as a Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director, effective November 7, 2026. The same meeting noted the resignation of Kong Sau Wai Elizabeth as a Director, categorized as a Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director, with effect from November 6, 2026, as she pursues professional opportunities outside the company. The board has also kicked off a postal ballot process to secure shareholder approval for Lok’s appointment. Elizabeth Kong’s exit and Lok’s entry reflect a measured refresh of governance as 3M India navigates a dynamic market backdrop.

Lok brings a deep operations and governance background to the board. The company’s attachments spell out his current role as Vice President of Asia Operations and Singapore Governance Leader, with over 25 years of experience across U.S. and European multinational settings. He joined 3M in July 2025, bringing a track record in supply chain leadership and operations. On appointment, Lok will participate in the company’s board-level oversight and strategy discussions, including governance of the company’s expanded healthcare portfolio and broader product footprint in India.

In light of the leadership changes, the Board reconstituted its key committees with Lok joining as a member of all three boards committees. Audit Committee now includes NV Sivakumar (Chair), MD Ranganath, and Chun Hao Lok; Stakeholders Relationship Committee comprises MD Ranganath (Chair), Aseem Joshi, and Chun Hao Lok; and the Risk Management Committee features NV Sivakumar (Chair), Kavita Nair, Aseem Joshi, Jayanand K, and Chun Hao Lok. These adjustments underscore 3M India’s emphasis on governance discipline as it continues to push revenue momentum across its Safety & Industrial, Transportation & Electronics, Health Care, and Consumer segments. The company’s leadership commentary alongside unaudited quarterly results also notes performance dynamics for the quarter and six months ended September 30, 2026, including a double-digit year-over-year revenue uptick offset by pressure on profitability from currency and input-cost headwinds, with Managing Director Aseem Joshi highlighting disciplined execution and customer focus amid a challenging macro.

Beyond governance, 3M India’s public-facing disclosures also reference ongoing commercial initiatives, including a long-running healthcare distribution arrangement and related strategic terms. The leadership moves come at a time when the company is emphasizing innovation-led growth across its Indian footprint, with Lok’s addition poised to lend further governance depth as the business scales across multiple segments.
