3i Infotech taps Venu Gopal Reddy to lead Infrastructure Services; board refresh brings Sanjay Vatsa as Additional Director as Ambarish Dasgupta retires

In a move that underscores 3i Infotech’s push to sharpen its cloud and infrastructure capabilities, the company has named Venu Gopal Reddy as Senior Management Personnel and head of Infrastructure Services, effective immediately. The appointment signals a clear intent to strengthen execution in the company’s infrastructure and cloud-led services as it pursues modernization and growth across its IT portfolio. Reddy brings decades of global delivery experience in cloud and infrastructure leadership, with a track record spanning Fortune 500 clients and large-scale transformation initiatives.

The company also announced governance changes at the board level. Ambarish Dasgupta will retire by rotation at the upcoming 33rd AGM and will cease to be a director, with the board noting potential conflicts of interest given his consulting firm’s anticipated expansion into IT and IT security domains. In a complementary move, the Nomination and Remuneration Committee recommended and the board approved the appointment of Sanjay Vatsa as an Additional Director, designated as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director liable to retire by rotation, with effect from July 24, 2026, subject to approval by shareholders at the AGM. Vatsa’s background in financial services and governance adds a measured, global perspective to the board’s mix of experience.

Taken together, these leadership moves reflect 3i Infotech’s emphasis on building a robust executive team around core infrastructure, cloud, and digital transformation. Reddy’s mandate to lead Infrastructure Services, coupled with a refreshed board with Sanjay Vatsa’s international governance exposure and the management-level continuity implied by Dasgupta’s retirement, positions the company to push ahead with its modernisation and growth agenda as the 33rd AGM approaches on 28 August 2026.
